Good News

There has been some recent developments in this challenge to get to Seattle. My husband has been offered a job that could take us out there. It's all still in the works but it's very exciting. We have started making plans and selling stuff to raise money and also so we take less stuff with us. If things go well, we will be pulling into Washington right before Christmas!

For me, I have continued to look for work but hope it will easier to land a job when we actually get there. I have been looking at a new clothes company that is looking for someone to design labels, tags, and the like for the line. It sounds like a great job because I have experience in both areas: advertising and fashion.

We have also began the great search for an affordable apartment. I think this will be the next big challenge. The area is unfamiliar and we don't know what's close to what. Hopefully my friend that lives just north of Seattle will be able to help us find something that suits us and makes us feel safe. I can't wait!!!

Ok, I think I am figuring some things out. A friend guided me towards flickr.com to host pictures that I can add to this blog so that my work can get on the internet in some form until my website is up. A small victory but I'll take it. Consider this a sneek preview of my portfolio and stay posted for the rest of it to make its debut.

ps. A little about this work: a poster designed for a tailor shop concept geared towards the college/young professional.
